A Juneteenth Chef’s Table
Join Chef Pamela for an intimate five-course dinner that honors the resilience, creativity, and soul of Black American history through food and storytelling.
Hosted outdoors under the Santa Barbara sky, this one-night-only celebration invites you to sit, listen, & learn as each dish unfolds a chapter, from the fields to the fire, from hardship to joy. Space is limited to 12 guests. Includes welcome drink + keepsake.

Host The Root in your own home. This private, in-home Juneteenth dinner brings Chef Pamela’s full five-course storytelling menu to your table, woven with culture, history, and soul.
Perfect for intimate gatherings, community circles, or family dinners. You provide the space, and we bring the food, the story, and the spirit.
Available throughout the month of June. 6–10 guests.

Juneteenth Cooking Class
Join Chef Pamela the day after Juneteenth for an intimate, hands-on cooking class where history, culture, and cuisine come together.
In this class, you’ll prepare key dishes from the Juneteenth dinner menu while learning the stories behind them. We’ll cook, reflect, and share a beautiful meal together—family-style.
